Heidelberg pH-capsule Testing
There are
several reasons we feel this test
is so important.
Strong digestion for health
A
person needs to have a strong acid making
capacity to start the
digestive process. If this
step fails, the rest of the digestive process will
not recover. Food will travel through the
system, never fully releasing vital nutrients
and
causing inflammation and
immune issues. This
may
lead to a variety of illnesses.
Acid blockers
In the medical
community, patients at times are treated with acid blockers/H2 inhibitors on the
pretext that they have too much acid. This is often not the case. Once on
these medicines, digestion itself is inhibited, leading to reduced absorption
and possible chronic illnesses.

with the Heidelberg test.
HIV/AIDS
It is
becoming evident that an HIV/AIDS patient’s stomach acid capacity can become
compromised over time. Working to maintain good digestion can help increase
health and vitality. It is important to get tested and
treated.
Absorption of medicines
The
medicines and supplements we take are broken down in the digestive system for us
to absorb. If the correct pH isn’t encountered during digestion, then the
medicine will not be fully absorbed. Some drug companies utilize the Heidelberg
test to examine their drugs absorption.
Treatment
options
Last, for treating the digestion, the information from this simple test is
important in guiding treatment options.
The Test
The patient
swallows a capsule (vitamin size) that is tethered. Once in the stomach, the
patient drinks a bicarbonate solution to raise stomach pH. The capsule
transmits the pH through radio frequency. The
bicarbonate challenge is performed several times and may take approximately
2
hours. A 12 hour fast is required.
